I always thought I'd have a friend
That would stick with me until the end.
But I didn't know who'd it be
And now its clear for me to see.
You were there when things got tough
You stuck by me when things were rough.
You made me smile when times were bad
And you lifted me up when I was sad.
We've had some laughs along the way
That makes me smile to this day.
All the memories we've ever made
I know I'll never let them fade.
You're that friend that was always there
And you never really seemed to care.
You listened to me on the phone
When all I would do is cry and moan.
We had our fights like friendships do
But I didn't think I could fight with you.
But in my mind there was never a doubt
That we would always work things out.
You took my hand and showed me the way
And helped me get through each single day.
In my eyes I hope you can see
How much you really mean to me.
