when you don't know what to write
the point i wanna get across
is I'm glad we're so tight
I'm glad that you've put up with me
and that you've been my friend
I'm sad that we have to leave

to tell you happy birthday
i wanted to get you a present
but i didn't have any money to pay
so i decided to write to you
