On the day I was born
No body came and welcome the event.
There were no baby showers then,
No birth announcements were sent.
I was just a little nameless baby girl
Unwanted from the start
Until you came and took me in
Into both your home and hearts.
Through all of my growing years
I Knew I could always depend on you both,
For love and your understanding
Advise and guidance,too.
And I couldn't found a better way
To celebrate this very special day.
Then to tell you both how proud
and glad I am,
For you both to chose to be
My Grandma and Grandpa today.
