As I sit here in the early morning
thinking of your face
a smile comes upon me
one that should never be replaced
You came to me out of the blue
it only took one word
I'll stay now with you forever
though your voice I've only heard
You've lighted up my soul
opened up my heart
showed me how to laugh again
gave my life a brand new start
I'd forgotten what it felt like
this happiness inside
my life had been so empty
with all the hatred and the lies
I don't know if I'll ever meet you
although the day I hope will come
when you hold my face next to yours
and we walk off in the sun. |
