Dear Mother
by Liss
I lie there, knees to my chest,
uncontrollable tears streaming down my cheeks.
The more I think, the more I cry.
Why must we constantly argue, throw fits, exchange screams, all the time?
Do you only think about yourself?
Oh how I hate the horrible words that come out of your mouth.
To my friends your perfect.
One of a kind.
"I wish she was my mom." they say.
They wouldn't be saying that if they saw you yesterday.
You put up a front like everythings fine.
Go ahead and keep that smile.
Because you don't know what goes on in my mind.
I want to leave.
Why do you make me stay,
just so you could yell at me another day?
Well know this dear mother,
I will not take this forever.
So if one day you wake up and i'm no where to be found,
Know that you brought this upon yourself.
