It's been the longest time since I've seen you
I've waited for so long
The day I'd see your loving face
And feel that I belong
I've never felt so alone
It's something that I hide
The moments of true sadness
It's even made me cry
There were times when I needed you
But you were never there
There were times when I had problems
I came to think you never cared
Sometimes I think and wonder
What your reason was to go
I never really understood
Why you would leave me so
Dad, I miss you so much
And I really need you here
To help me get through my problems
And help me fight my fears
