Car Ride Home
by Rayna Neumiller
you see moving lights,
running through the hill.
you almost can't look away,
somehow it gives you a thrill.

as you look up,
you see shadows pass by;
further the stars,
twinkle and say, "Hi".

you slowly close your eyes
as the car rolls home.
you're so comfotable,
'cause you know you're not alone.

as you slowly dream
you can only feel,
the thud and turns
of the car and the wheel.

you wake up,
to the touch of Dad's love.
Before you sleep again,
you pray to the one above.

you say thank you for the family
that you hold so tight.
thank you for the home
that tucks you in at night.

you see mocing lights,
running through the hill...
