Closing my eyes again tonight
and thoughts of you travel about
no where to go, no where to turn
everything that surrounds me
is asking me to face all of my fears
as I lay myself down to sleep
I wonder again of where you are
if you- returning has really been real
or am I just once again have fallen
in one of night’s dreams
I longed for your words for so long-
an I love you became impossible
TO hear.
You were still loving me
Even when I thought You had stopped
And Today, you came to give me
back what once belonged to me
And I sit here tonight-I wonder
If you are truly back for good
if what I longed for finally returned
what you once robbed from me
I see you coming towards me
with so much more than what
You had left with...
Memories, Pain, heartache
They are all written on your
Face.
And I see the pain residing peacefully
inside of your eyes-
I see your hands carefully seeking for me
I see your mouth moving asking me
for eternal forgiveness
And I continue on sitting here
Wondering about what needs to be done
Do I follow you still-or Should I set you
Free?
Giving up is not part of who I am-
But-
But-
But-
Those words they do not seem
TO let me be-I want to love you still
But the thought of you Betraying
Is bigger than who I thought I was-
Living with you again, knowing what
The past was-It makes it a bit harder
To live-
And So I continue on sitting here
