Clinging to the Hope
by Mel
The day the world came crashing down,
Was the day she knew the truth.
The day she discovered what true love is.
From that day on,
She knew this feeling inside,
The feeling that overpowered,
Her mind,
Her body,
Her soul,
Was the feeling that only meant one thing...
He was the one.
She knew she loved him like she'd never loved anyone before
She could think of nothing else.
He was the one she thought of all day...
And dreamt of all night.
His voice echoed in her mind,
His touch lingered on her skin.
The simple memory of the last time they spoke,
Is enough to put a smile on her lips,
But all this would mean nothing ?
Unless he felt the same.
Would she ever know?
Would he ever be honest with his heart?
She'd give the world to know the truth,
For him to drop his guard,
And unlock his heart,
There's nothing left to stop him.
All she can do now,
Is keep clinging to the hope,
The dream,
That the future will bring them together,
Because she will keep loving him with all her heart,

Like she does, she did, and she always will.
