Gaitana
by Elena Schwartz
The girl: ask her, when will I die,
When scathing moment comes to me
Why am I here and whom I’m living for?

Fortune-teller: you live with dream about him
On him depends all of your dream
The live is whirling ‘round you
You notice nothing, it is true.

You don’t see falling leafs from trees
You don’t feel melting snow on cheeks
You don’t accept the loving eyes
And neither sky, and no sunrise.

When you will die – I will not tell
And why – you’ll understand yourself.

Are you in love?

Oh, yes, it’s so. But you are bagged with empty hopes.
The dream to happiness with him.
Forget it all, forget and him
A long-forgotten you are now.

Remember just one thing for you:
Your day will come and you will see
The beauty is around you
The life’s not passing all for naught

The vine will flow from the glass
But you’ll be drunken from the happiness…

His pretty smile, happy eyes
You’ll carry through the years.
Though darkest forests,
Through the light, light playing with a chess.

You wished to die, but why?
The death can’t learn the word like “no”
The just one way, a step, and death
And you can’t back from evil road.

The soul – the main part of life,
But after death the world is other.

Hey girl, unclose your eyes,
And look around you

At shining stars in big blue sky,
At light, just passing through your dreams
At perfect sky, which’s torn with clouds
At life, which can be full of joy.

Just though your sight and just believe…
