by Allison Aqua

I am trying to look at what is real
Can't believe how I feel
Don't know if I'm gonna keep trying
or relying
on him
He hardly lets me in
My friend.

My friend, I think too much
My friend needs me as a crutch.
My friend, I'd like to touch
once again
if he'd let me in.

My friend is busy all the time,
He's got others on his mind
My dreams are hard to find
I try hard to remain kind
cause I love this friend of mine.

Sometimes I wake, he's on my brain
When I sleep, he's there again
I want to refrain
and think of other things
but he is everything to me
Why can't he see
that I love him unconditionally.
