Why are you so nice to me?
after all I've said and done?
I'm really very surprised
that you haven't turned to run.
I only wish everyone
could be as nice as you are,
always trying to make me smile,
whether you're near or you're far.
You really have no idea
saying "hi" can make my day.
It blocks out all the rain clouds,
keeps pain from coming my way.
When you're around, I'm happy,
more glad than I've ever been.
It's like life is one big game
that I can finally win.
I wish that you could be here,
I feel we're drifting apart.
But no matter where you go,
you'll always be in my heart.
So I wrote this song for you
so you won't forget my name,
won't forget that without you,
my life wouldn't be the same.
