True Love does not measure
In order to find the perfect person,
Its loving an imperfect one perfectly, beyond the feeble mind can reason.
For when you size a person up
True love may not be there.
Instead you’ll find the useless things
The heart can’t find to care.
It’s not within the pretty looks
Or other worldly things,
It’s all about affection and
The joy and care it brings.
It’s not the places you can go
Or things you can afford to buy,
Love is in the heart of those
Who cherish moments passing by.
To love is not demanding,
to want things right away.
Love is patient, love is kind
And feels each passing day.
To love is not to seek a happy ending
Love simply does not end,
Love can even last a lifetime,
If love’s what you intend.
