But you don't
by Saikumar
Standing below your building across the road,
My eyes fixed hard at your window,
One glance is all I want

Chilly night it is and I shiver with my hands in my pockets,
I wait

The next moment it begins to rain,
And I am eager even more

I begin attracting attention
As a shelter I do not seek
I soak myself all wet
Start to chatter my teeth

As passer-bys begin to notice my eyes fixed at your window
I do not wish to get us into trouble
So I take refuge in your building
Now I hope that for some reason
Only you would know why
You would come down in this heavy downpour
See me and say a 'Hi!'

But you don't
Like the times before this incident
You don't.
