You were there
by Marsbars
You were always there for me.
Pushing me, when I had no strength.
Encouraging me, when all I had was fear.
You were always by my side.
You never left me alone to cry.
To cry alone by myself.
I knew that no matter what, you were there for me.
I wish that I didn't have to leave.
I don't want to move out.
But it's the end of this long journey.
It's time to move on.
You were my hero, and you still are.
You can never be replaced.
Anyone who wants me, has to fill those shoes of yours.
I don't know if they can or not.
You always put me first.
No matter what the sacrifice.
You let me have anything.
It didn't matter the price.
You were always for me,
Even when you were mad.
You could always make me smile.
Even if it made your heart break, you never let me see you sad.
I remember the day I got my learner's.
You just smiled and held on.
As I drove for the first time, down that long winding road.
Then you were there when I got my license, my first boyfriend, and "F".
You were there for everything.
You were my best friend.
I am going to have to go now.
Move out, and on my own.
In case I didn't tell you dad, I love you and I know I will never be alone.
Thanks for all the memories that you have given me.
You let me take on the world.
Now I am older, and even though I am moving on,
I'm still Daddy's little girl!
