I had been trying for a while to get up the courage to tell my soon-to-be boyfriend that I was interested in him. Once I finally did, it took very little time to become a couple. The night we officially started dating was February 9th and I thought it would be nice to wait to actually kiss each other until Valentine's Day. His response was that he would "try to restrain himself." :-)
I didn't really expect him to do anything big for Valentine’s because we'd only just started dating. When I went to his place that night, he handed me a plain envelope with a letter inside telling me how happy he was to be with me. At the bottom of the letter, he had designed a coupon that said "Redeemable for one first kiss." I practically melted when I saw that. I asked, "Can I redeem it right away?" And he said yes. We leaned close together and shared the most beautiful, tender, satisfying kiss of my life. Later he said to me, "That was my first kiss and it was perfect. No one can take that away from me." 6 months later, we are still going strong, despite his graduation from our college and a separation of 7 states. Kissing him now is just as wonderful as it was that night.
