My girlfriend of two years decided that she no longer wanted to be with me. But, a couple nights ago, I was sitting on the couch with her. Holding her like nothing at all went wrong with us. Just staring into her deep blue eyes, rubbing her face like she always loved me to do. Giving her a soft kiss on her lips, I thought to myself "this is to good to be true." It had been so long since those feelings and that much happiness was in my life. Then something kind of hit me. A realization came over me. I looked into her eyes, and as a tear trickled down my face, I said to her "This is a dream, it's only a dream." Her eyes filled with tears. As I wiped them from her eyes, she said "But.....I don't want this to be a dream. I miss you." I said "I miss you too, baby." Then I opened my eyes and was laying alone in my room. I cried for 2 hours. Then went on with my empty life.
This is to the girl that earned my love, but I couldn't keep her's.
