Man I curse myself
everyday, it was middle school
8th grade, the day before the
last day of school. I was
talking to my close friend
aisha, i told her that on the
last day, I would say good-bye
to him.
She wanted me to do it, so I
said I was, i was so confident
that I would say...."Hey!
'his name'" then he'd stop, i'd walk up to him, and say "I
just wanted to say bye" and
walk away.
I went home, and thought
about it all night. then the
last day came, he had all my
last classes, then the last day came, and we had so much
fun. Before we left, he tapped my shoulder, and said. "did you know she got freckles?" he
said has he pointed to my other friend
shammara. I looked at her face, and said, "Aw! she does
have freckles!"
Then the bell rang, and we was walking out, teasing him.
He wasn't really paying attention, we walked around the cars, and he said, "hah!
look at cecelia!" I ignored him.
Before I drove away from
the school, I turned around,
and we made eye contact for the last time.
I didn't get to tell him
good-bye. but
hey, there was always next-year!
